DCAlexandria
We want our snow late December through the first week of February. Mid to late February and it becomes increasingly difficult to maintain cold and solid snow cover around these parts. I like Feb snow because it melts fast. And that's where the big storms live. What about sun angle??
DCAlexandria
Booooooo! Give me Dec 09 with 1'+ of snow on the ground for a week Snow gets gross in the city pretty quick. No need for that. Blasphemy!!' 6 Hail Marys for you!'

North Balti Zen
It's pretty funny how people actually think it will snow next week. That trolling only works if there were people here who are expecting it to, as opposed to the rest of us who are just following an interesting weather pattern. Bob Chill
I'm rooting against next week because I'm selfish and will be away. Can we make Dec 5 our day to hope and dream? You can sit back happily on your trip away and watch some rain on radar in these parts. The first 10 days of Dec holds promise at this point imo. Keep an eye on the next ull to enter socal. The ns could produce a clipper as well if the pattern holds as advertised. But something like that can't really be thought about until short leads. I just want to get the monkey off our back ASAP. The thought of chasing the whole month of Dec without accum snow is sickening. I haven't used a shovel since the psu storm. Enough is enough already. Is that too much to ask for on Thanksgiving? It happened in '89 I think...and Veterans Day '87 was a doozy.

Until it shows nothing, then we bump it back to the 18z, 00z, etc. Eventually we settle for blustery and 45.

WinterWxLuvr
89 from mid October to New Years was brutal (at least it was in the sw part of the state). Never seen a switch get flipped like it did then. Basically a torch for the next 2 years.
