Lol so yesterday Bob gave his Debbie downer post and Wes and Matt agreed that the signs were troubling...now today December might be cold again and HM says maybe some wintry Christmas time love? My guess is tomorrow we will be looking at 70s and the warmest December on record....

By the way..just playing around guys....hope nobody gets their feelings hurt

haha, the only thing that can hurt my feelings is a redux.

We're kinda defying the odds right now so I'm paranoid. Models showed a more "expected" pattern yesterday and probably will again. We've been bucking the trend since Feb in many ways. Maybe it really will continue on and restore #faithintheflakes

Matt wants warm and dry. He cares more about his forecast being right than snow.

I don't think we will be dry...and I think we will get snow this month even with warmth....I think you get accumulating snow in the 1st 10 days of December where you are....I hope we get snow in december...I like snowcover, and snow never melts in december

I do like a front laoaded winter better. Cold and snowy from 12/1 to 1/15 trumps cold and snowy from 1/15 to 2/28 for me.  Wating and waiting somehow diminishes the enjoyment when it finally does come.

I think 8 of our top 10 storms of all time have come after 1/15 in Baltimore.

I do too. Kinda gets the monkey off the back early and makes second half snow/cold feel like a bonus even if we're still chasing climo.

My thoughts have been centered around windows of op every couple or 3 weeks. No true sustained cold periods but no long duration torches either. I wouldn't be surprised at all to bank some accum snow in each month. Maybe even March but that's eons away.

Here they are:

1. Feb. 15-18, 2003:  28.2 inches

2. Jan. 27-29, 1922:  26.5 inches

3. Feb. 5-6, 2010:  24.8 inches

4. Feb. 11, 1983:  22.8 inches

5. Jan. 7-8, 1996:  22.5 inches

6. Mar. 29-30, 1942:  22.0 inches

7. Feb. 11-14, 1899:  21.4 inches

8. Dec. 18-19, 2009:  21.1 inches

9. Feb. 18-19, 1979:  20.0 inches

10. Feb. 9-10, 2010:  19.5 inches

Hence the reason most people who like big storms like the post 1/15 period.

I think the consensus is to not worry much about big storms this year unless the southern stream is active. Seems possible this year at least.

I think most of us are sick of warm Decembers and would gladly take a front loaded winter.

So it took me about 4 hours to get my leaves up today....made a nice huge pile for curbside pickup....I heard some noises around 3:45...looked outside and the middle school boys were out jumping in the pile....ugh....right at that moment I felt like Clint Eastwood in gran Torino :(

Bag em up and no problem. 11 bags. Got my entire yard done. Now all cleaned up for the first magical snowfall whenever that is going to be :(
