Everyone watch the MAVEN mission launch to Mars today at 128pm! Hopefully the clouds/showers approaching from the west dissipate before reaching the Cape. I have a cameo role on the MAVEN science team.

No, not on the launch coverage.  I have a role on the science team.  Only a couple of the lead scientists are appearing on the launch coverage today.

Oh, sorry I saw cameo and assumed :axe:

Hope it stays good to go:

1737 GMT (12:37 p.m. EST)

The weather officer reports all constraints are now GREEN, but there is still a 40 percent chance of violating weather rules at the time of launch.

If that Euro snowfall map happens, screw Thanksgiving in Rockville -- I'm staying home and playing in the snow. My family will have to do without the green bean casserole I'm in charge of making.

Lets be honest....no one is sitting down at the table for that green been casserole.

Yup.  If it isn't being served on Tday I always tell the cook that the turkey was dry and the mashed taters were too creamy.  Don't care if it is my mom or not.

Retirement is about 25 years away. Or so.

I have decided I am aiming at Vermont for retirement. Want to live somewhere, just once, where snow just happens.

The mountains of WV and SW PA are so much closer. That said, Vermont IS beautiful country.
