CoastalWx
Anafrontal. Euro ensembles have the d6-7 low but well east of the op. image.jpg image.jpg Oh that? Maybe. Those things aren't always the best to work out, but I wouldn't rule out some activity with the front perhaps.

HIPPYVALLEY
Wow---I just realized it's snowing. A little coating to start the day, ftw. Sleeting here atm. A small coating on cars and driveway. So far this year I've seen sleet and freezing rain last week but no snow yet. Harbinger of things to come? lol edit: just switched over to nice little flakes coming down, the little one is thrilled (as is daddy).
CoastalWx
That's graupel, not sleet. Totally different beast.

OceanStWx
It's actually just heavily rimed flakes. Yeah given the temp profile, that would be my guess.

Tropopause_Fold
Yeah I'll have to call BS on that run..lol. i wonder if we end up with a big ocean storm just a hair too far offshore to be much of a player.

Maybe I'll be wrong, but I just don't buy that solution. If anything I side with your assertion or at worst maybe the Canadian or something. Ginx snewx
LOl at the balking of actually talking about the Euro output of 10-20 inches of snow. I mean cmon, are we not men?

ROOSTA
It's great just to be tracking frozen. Time to dust-off (not that there is much to dust) skills and start swinging again. After a long hot lonely Summer.

wxmanmitch
Some nice snow showers coming through from that lake effect streamer. Nice fluffy aggregates trying to coat the grassy surfaces a little when it comes down hard. First real flakeage of the season.

Ginx snewx
I kidded about the Euro although its fun to see but there is a hint of Ens support here for a possible storm, 5H ENS and surface are not really a total miss in the mean. Lets see how this plays out over the weekend but to completely dismiss the chance seems the wrong approach.

But right now, the odds certainly favor a miss over a Euro solution.

ORH_wxman
I have seen some posts, tweets (not in here) of total dismissal. Well obviously that isn't the right approach either. Our best realistic chance at snow IMHO is behind the arctic front where a lot of guidance has a bit of forcing.
