Not even a pity flake.

At least it feels like winter, though.  Wish this airmass had arrived on Thanksgiving.

We had flurries from Winchester city all the way out through where I like early this morning.  No biggie.

I'm all for waiting until Thanksgiving to start winter anyway.

if DCA doesn't hit or go below freezing next two nights... then something is wrong

winds will stay up enough for it to hit tonight for sure. it might not be super cold though.. could come in with like a 30.

I still say this is the most likely answer-

00z GFS would IMPLY that DCA goes below freezing either Tues/Wed/Thur night next week

Should be able to finish this contest off by mid-week.

Yes, SHOULD and IMPLY are correct terms to use after this am, DCA locks at 34 while every site within 25 miles all around falls into upper 20's.....LOL.

I have no idea where they have the sensors located at DCA, but in my mind I'm seeing a 737 'strategically' parked and left idling nearby.

The sensors are out on what was at one time part of the landing strip.  The macadam surface was never fully removed but has deteriorated to the extent that is mostly scrub grass.
