Wind/Rain Event 11/1

What I didn't understand is we already have a wind advisory with wording of gusts up to 60 miles per hour.. so why were warnings even issued?

Why do they issue tornado warnings when eyewalls are coming onshore? Better to warn the public as much as possible. Personally I think we didn't need the wind advisory. A few gusts to 25MPH outside of the line didn't warrant the advisory, but the model support for a strong wind event was certainly present.

Mt Holly has a very different and more bullish warning style than Upton, it's funny to look at the warning map and see the transition...it's as if they're looking at different weather events.

What's so different, and bullish then Upton? Both offices' warnings are for 60 mph winds, both state there has been wind damage to the west with this line, which is true. I don't get what point your trying to make. Only difference is, Mt Holly points out there is no lightning with the line, which is also true.

Oh, I was just commenting on the the large areal coverage warnings well in advance of the line that Mt. Holly issued around 9am as compared to the more conservative county by county approach that Upton used. That's the only point I was making, didn't mean to upset you.
