Tropopause_Fold
Oh yeah, it's definitely an option as far as regs go. My point was that it's more cumbersome to do it in the grids as opposed to drawing polygons with WarnGen. We might luck out up here, where the line it weak enough and the gradient winds behind the front are what does the damage. gotcha. thanks for the info. OceanStWx
So there is no way to edit the warnings if I understand correctly? I know this would take Time. When you create a polygon it immediately is sent to a text box for editing. Plus there is always the option to SVS the polygon to remove that wording. Just sometimes it's forgotten because we're used to not having to change that stuff in July.
OceanStWx
51 mph at GON, 48 mph at LWM and PYM last hour, 47 at PVD and EWB, 46 at ORH. A little kick still left in that LLJ.

TauntonBlizzard2013
Incredibly windy here at bridgewater state. Notorious for wind here, but this is as bad as it's been in my two years here. Impressive to say the least

OceanStWx
What does SVS mean? I have no clue about the process so sorry for the questions. Wiz is right, severe weather statement. Those are used to include information about reports ("trained spotters reported..."), trim a polygon to remove a country form the warning, add call to action statements or stronger winds/larger hail if intensity changes, etc. But you always get a text box to edit before you manually send it. This is why sometimes the text will read "At 400 PM NWS doppler..." but the warning didn't go out until 425 PM. That was because someone was editing in those 5 minutes. OceanStWx
Radar here at GYX is showing winds increasing behind the line of showers relative the LLJ ahead of it. Bodes well for stronger gusts post-frontal when we pop into the clearing.

HoarfrostHubb
Wind basically dead here in Hubbardston after a windy morning, but we just received an automated call from the PD that a pole and wires were down across a somewhat main street in town. Not sure if it is wx related, so no report
Mr. Windcredible!
The power infrastructure in our town is a f'in joke. CL&P has had tree crews out trimming trees the whole past month yet still half the town loses power when we get a 30 mph breeze. Looks like they have most of the town back except for me and another unlucky 10%. But seriously, the only town that lost a greater % of customers today was Colebrook...but at least there they had legit severe gusts. /rant

OceanStWx
severe TS warning up in NH For those areas that got into the upper 60s/low 70s we felt it's probably justified. Hard to say though, winds have been having trouble mixing down even with temps in the mid 60s.
