Geos
An inch or less of snow isn't going to influence temps. Probably not, especially during the day. It was definitely a day to wear sunglasses while driving. Already at 26° at 5:30pm.
cyclone77
Only 32 for a high here after starting at 15. 12 in the point for tonight. Still some scattered patches of snow in shaded areas.

Geos
Awesome shot Cyclone. Going to save that for the 2013-2014 winter folder. Grid point forecast is for 11° tonight!
wxman1952
Got up to 32.8° at my place after a low of 18° I only seen some lite snow showers yesterday and a couple flurries today. No accumulation yesterday. What a difference a year makes. A year ago yesterday it was 70° and a year ago today it was 63° here in Saginaw, MI
Hoosier
An inch or less of snow isn't going to influence temps. I was under the impression that an inch can start to influence. I've seen that mentioned in afd's more than once. Might also make a difference if the snow is fairly new.

Might also make a difference if the snow is fairly new. 1" is borderline...after that, and especially when you work up towards 2", is when the influence is greater. Most of the LOT CWA saw less that 1" of snow. So to say any location really saw an influence due to a dusting is unlikely. Guidance was showing cooler temps than forecasted today anyway...though still a bit too cool.
Geos
The month here is running -2.0° from normal, including the current high and low for today. 28° at the Crib and more impressive it is 33° at the mid lake buoy. cyclone77
Down to 18. Looking forward to the brief warmup over the weekend since I need to finish some yard work before winter sets in.
snowstormcanuck
Can anybody fill me in as to why the HPC extended forecast discussion is now issue before the 12z suite is in? Has anybody else noticed this? Seems stupid.
Geos
Down to 20.7° imby. Taking advantage of the mild weekend to clean up the yard and start putting up lights.
cyclone77
Temp jumped back up 2 degrees to 20 in the last hour. Winds over most of Iowa are already stirring, and blowing out of the southwest. Temps tonight may bust too warm with the high sinking away to the south. After the initial crash after sunset the temps have pretty much stagnated. EDIT: I see the point has already been bumped up 3 degrees to 15. That may still be too cold.
Geos
Yeah no way it's getting down to the lower teens tonight. Not enough snow cover. Probably hit 18° or so tonight. Still pretty darn cold for mid November.

WestCoaster
Only got down to 25 last night downtown, ended up the same as the previous night despite the clearing, a bit surprised. Clouds must've moved in after I went to sleep. YYZ hit 20 F very briefly, and then started to warm up. They recorded -SN for a few hours but I'm assuming it was very, very --SN; never underestimate the warming effect of cloud cover at night, folks! Geos
Got down to 18° or 19° last night. Moving upwards towards 30°. Edit: Intrahour reading of 18° at UGN.
hawkeye_wx
Cedar Rapids bottomed out at 11 yesterday morning, only got up to 28, then dropped to 13 again early last night before the return flow kicked in. The weekend system isn't looking like too big of a deal... just some moderate rain followed by another surge of cold.

IWXwx
looking forward to the weekend warmth...it's too early for this crap I agree, unless I see 3+" IMBY. Wait until after Thanksgiving, then bring it on. Otherwise, I'd rather follow some severe action.

harrisale
Cold start to the morning at 29F but we have quickly warmed to 37F and the cloud cover has completely disappeared. Sun feels nice after a string of cloudy days.

Haha - yeah, it's gusty out there. 39° for a high, but still patches of snow left. Had almost an inch thick layer of ice on the pond this morning. Going to getting those x-mas lights up on Saturday.
