Snow started here around 630am but has just shut off before 10am. We have 0.6" of sugary snow, the kind of dry sugar that gives the optical illusion that it sticks more to the pavement than the longer grassy areas. Certainly a more typical January snow than a November one. Very pretty, and NAM now shows snow sticking around lower MI all day...so we shall see if it fills back in!

Some impressive cold yet again forecast by Environment Canada for my backyard tonight. Forecast low -12C (10F) overnight tonight.

Official observations for Oakville are taken at the Burlington lift bridge, which is actually much closer to Hamilton. That data only goes back to 1993. The record low for this date (since 1993) is -4.3C (24F). Tonight should easily smash that. Although that is somewhat of an unimpressive record in terms of time scale, tonight will be the coldest November 28th in 20 years.

Average high for 11/28: 3C (37F)

Average low for 11/28: -5C (23F)

Forcast high for today: -3C (26F)

Forcast low for today: -12C (10F)

I'm in Norton Shores/south Muskegon for the holiday, as I am every year. Driving up yesterday early afternoon was pretty exciting. Very little snowcover and relatively dry conditions until we hit about Stevensville, MI. Got off I-94 in Stevensville on Red Arrow Highway to avoid a horrendous backup on I-94 that would have set us back at least an hour and a half. Took Lakeshore Dr/Route 63 through St. Joe and north along the lake up to Coloma Road to work our way back to I-196/US-31. Once we got just a little north of downtown Benton Harbor... winter wonderland. Well over a foot on the ground, blowing, streets a mess, residents digging out. We hit a wall of white near Van Buren State Park just south of South Haven. We counted 12 cars in the ditch within just two miles. It was really pouring snow!

The snow quit just south of Saugatuck and there was very little snowcover by the time we made it to Grand Haven/Muskegon. A few inches of beautiful snow fell last night and after a lull early this morning, we're now seeing a peaceful light snow with very little wind. It looks like the heavier lake-enhanced stuff is setting up northeast of here toward Holton/Fremont and east of here around Coopersville, likely enhanced by lift due to the terrain. I'd be surprised if Muskegon/Norton Shores picks up more than an inch or two today, but it sure is pretty out there!

Total here was 0.03" liquid and 0.6" snow. The snow is actually melting/evaporating despite temps below freezing and an overcast. Still was nice to see this morning and hoping the longrange brings us some big snows! Even though it was just over a half inch of dry snow, I had to try out my brand new shovel lol.

Check out the radar. It's expanding this way again. It's pouring snow here (I'm just west of Fruitport in Spring Lake Township.)

If tomorrow fails to hit freezing, we will have been 32F or above for officially a couple hours in the last week. That's pretty hard to do in November.

Yep, 6 days AOB 32° here. Looks like 29° will be the high today.

Congrats to the MI posters getting snow on Thanksgiving day.

I had light LES all day and evening yesterday. The continuous light snow made it feel like mid winter. Melting and sublimation only allowed it to accumulate to 0.5" by evening. Still have a trace on the ground  today and the sun finally made an appearance.

Not looking forward to the next week of boring, seasonal weather.

About 4" up here near black lake in northern lower Michigan. The deepest snow I saw was around Gaylord, maybe 6+ in spots it looked liked driving up this morning.

has snowed most of the day.... only 2" of accumulation however but nice nonetheless.

over a foot on the ground here, and in Central Lake and Bellaire too.  Areas near the shore have done well lately.

Gaylord has hit 30" for the season so far!

what's your total for today and depth Blackrock?
