DomNH
Fat Flakes. It's not that heavy. Yes...when I was under that band it was light-moderate but fat aggregates. Flakes have gotten a bit smaller over the last 20 minutes or so.
CoastalWx
Maybe the good stuff doesn't come in until after 06z.
CCPSUSuperstorm2010
I agree Scot, it looks like the good stuff waits until the H5 closes off.

ORH_wxman
Lightened up a bit for the time being, but looks like some heavier stuff about to rotate in from the north
#NoPoles
light to moderate big-flake snow here...looks like the heaviest part of the band is directly to my east

DomNH
Flakes really got smaller once we dropped below freezing at the surface. Cool.
Typhoon Tip
hm, this band is aligning like a Norlun sig - moderate snow continues in Westborough - new inch. Vis ~ 3/4 mile.
Clinch Leatherwood
I am intrigued. SREF's look pretty good as well. I think you and I are more or less in the same boat. We need to see the bands get hurled more west. Looks to me like the punch forming in down east is going to rotate SW while slowly growing. Mid evening/about the time we're watching the GFS it gets cranking and tries to elongate to the west. I think we will be watching the radar pivot SW as the 20-30+ grows west in the process. Just as it looks like we are all going to get smoked the feature passes under and it drops quickly south. Then there's the next phase where it may align NNE/NE to SSW right near Phil or maybe me. It needs to get about 20 miles further west earlier and then it's a party. Big fluffly flakes here, good sign.
CCPSUSuperstorm2010
35.9F in Harwich, MA now, temps have dropped a good 2-3F in the last hour or so. Band redeveloping on the southeast side over Cape Cod, MA Bay.
alex
Small flakes with a few fatter ones mixed in here, steady light snow. Sticking to trees but not to pavement. 32.2F - hoping to drop a degree or so...

DomNH
Bona-fide mod snow in that band now. Side road just starting to whiten up.
Clinch Leatherwood
I think the NAM just pushed the storm into 2011. I dont really like that trend too much. Longer it takes the better shot we get the scrooge IMO. Forgot to mention low level clouds rocketing SW off the water, cool.
CCPSUSuperstorm2010
Some wet snow flakes falling out of the sky now. Pretty cool how it only takes two days in between snowstorms. Then another two days off before another snowstorm, active Pacific jet is allowing all of this to happen.

Hard to think of this as a snowstorm lol...in fact, some would say it's nothing more than a case of atmospheric clap. But it's already the biggest snow of the season here so far, so I'll take it. CCPSUSuperstorm2010
Yeah Dom, it is more of an event, although if the NAM continues to get more and more moist and showing heavier banding, this could end up as a nice storm. Messenger, the NAM looks good for the weekend storm so far, northern jet energy looks intense.

Clinch Leatherwood
CCP I worry about a solution that really pounds the M/A and is so intense it doesn't make a lot of N/S progress or wraps almost NW before collapsing ESE. That is one monster setting up on the NAM, Day After Tommorow type stuff.
