Clinch Leatherwood
My guess is that the NAM comes in markedly more intense this first band has been well forecast/hinted at for 3-4 runs. I don't think it signals anything.

DomNH
Everything coated except for roads...that won't start until after dark probably. Probably a few tenths on grass now. Was just on the highway - probably a mile or two of visibility give or take.

mattlacroix4
Still melting on contact in downtown PWM ... hoping it's sticking at the homestead. Not sticking on roads yet, too warm, but it is getting colder, wait till it gets heavier, and gets dark. Which looks like both will happen by 4 pm. By the way, you will love the 12Z NAM. DomNH
The NAM is like 2-5'' here, but I think 1-3'' is still the much safer call. I do expect the grass to be covered by tomorrow AM though.
Boston-winter08
NAM says 3-6 for E MA, maybe 5+ for cape ann

DomNH
To me, watching the snow fall and reporting OBS is much more fun than weenie-ing out over the Euro .
Clinch Leatherwood
Nothing has really changed on the NAM, same signals. There's going to be a narrow intense band of snow coming down the maine coast out under the 5h feature tonight. It will likely scrape through Portland down into SE NH and into NE MA and then nip PTown on the way out. BUT, if everything happens a little earlier/is stronger it could shove it another 10-15 miles west which in turn swipes everyone with a 3-6" amount of snow tonight. Just have to watch. I'd like to be in Cape Anne tonight but remember what Scott says - these things often end up further sw. EDIT: Narrow band of intense surrounded by general snows. CCPSUSuperstorm2010
4" of snow for the Outer Cape is a good forecast right now, NECN has continued that forecast for the first part of the day, now interested in what Matt Noyes has to say at 4pm. mattlacroix4
Here we go..Gray really just doesn't want to give us love..1-3 for all of Maine. That is sad..considering everyone else has 3-6, or 4-8. Also, northern NH, they have 1-3, which a lot of models are suggesting 6-12 for and forecasts giving. Can someone help me explain this? DomNH
Just dropped below 32F, so road accumulation should start after dark. The left over salt and sand from Monday isn't helping either.
ORH_wxman
1 for TOL? Maybe but I'm worried about it reaching there. The whole thing is going to be pushing SW but then it will begin to turn more due S and eventually SSE...giving a NE to SW cutoff.
