Subtropics
Looking for as windy conditions as possible. Ideally would like to get the strongest sustained winds, but will chase gusts too. Which location would be best? How strong can the sustained winds get at these locations with the stronger nor'easters? Thank you SNE forum. -Subtropics

CoastalWx
Why do you say PVC>ACK when the storm is further east? It all depends on storm location. In some of our more recent storms, the Cape elbow has seen stronger winds. Usually ACK is just a bit better than the Cape but you can't go wrong with either spot to be honest. The difference in wind speed may not be worth the boat ride to ACK.

A storm near the BM would Probably be better wind wise for ACK and further east would only be worse for PVC. Either way I don't see a huge difference in both locales. Looking at it from a cost effective point of view, the elbow might be best.
HalloweenGale
I've ridden out storms in both locations. ACK and MVY are pretty good when the storm is near the benchmarkm as Coastal and Ginxy have stated. The further west on the cape you are, it can become a disappointment. During the passage of Andrea, ACK and CQX got it pretty good, but MVY and FMH hardly got anything. For the latter two locales, it was pretty much a heavy rain event. The past blizzard, or Nemo as TWC calls it was severe all around, but just a little more so on ACK windwise.
