MACoastWx
Looks like we still have some potential for tues/wed and sat. Have heard the euro is closer on midweek.Looks like p-type will be an issue. Anybody with access to better maps see where r/s line may be for both events? Looks like its still watchable. These borderline ots systems always bear watching..need it to ramp up to avoid ptype issues for us folks on the coast
Portsmouth Weather
Looks like we may see some light snow flying in SE VA tuesday night/Wednsday Morning. I'm sure it won't amount to anything, but still in the air. Hopefully we get a surprise.
DJnVa
Some sort of frozen precip falling in Va Beach.

VBsurf
So whats up with this monday event? Notice the American models are quite bullish for HR.
Portsmouth Weather
Looks like we are in for some interesting weather - even in HR. Wakefield seems pretty bullish even mentioning 1-2 inches in tidewater. The Monday afternoon commute in most of the state may be horrendous!! eaglesin2011
Yep as usual we r right on the line in this area.. Will b intersting to see what kind of advisory comes out.. Looks like only Winter Storm Watches so far have been issued up to the CHO/Frederick areas...
Portsmouth Weather
Latest NAM looks even better for all of central-east va. Says all precip in richmond to HR will be in frozen form (freezing rain to sleet to snow). Drives the cold air in quick. Weird to see the cold air racing south faster in the southeast part of the state versus the west.
VBsurf
Looks like an ice scenario developing. 850's take a while to cool in HR.
D-Money
Could we be in for a double whammy?! The 6-7 is looking much better. All about the high to our north.
SeVa
We are going to be in the upper 60s on Sunday and then start Monday in the upper 40s. Unless we get legit heavy snow, this will be nothing more than some snow flying in the air in the afternoon. We really need to have the cold entrenched before the storm down here. Otherwise we will see our typical cold chasing moisture scenario.

Otherwise we will see our typical cold chasing moisture scenario. not the same scenario; if you look at the models the cold air arrives before the moisture - not whill moisture is departing. I have seen a ton of those cold chasing rain scenario's and we lose every time. This is not one of them.

eaglesin2011
Richmond been on the verge a few times lately...Of course that means this area will find a way to getting screwed haha..maybe this one will be different time will tell.. Inudaw
Skeptical but keeping an eye on the south trends the last few runs. *shrugs*
benjammin
There's no sense to anthropomorphize weather, but it would be nice to see RVA in the bull's eye this time, and perhaps quiet the cacophony of the DMV crowd for a few moments(recognizing I lived most of my life inside the beltway). I'm not holding my breath, but we'll see.
Portsmouth Weather
I'm officially excited now! GFS has ticked south and the .50 line is south of tidewater. Monday is shaping up to be an exciting event. How often do you see temps plummeting during the day - as you transisition from freezing rain to snow - in March no less
DMADKAT
This WINTER is blowing my mind. Cold January always brings early spring at least in my memory. If March is cold like it is looking, it will be the first time that a cold spring follows a cold winter in my time and I am 52 years old this May !
