Inudaw
GGEM crushes NC/SC and Portions of South East Va. ^^
VABILLUPS1
Yes, it looks about as good as it can. I just never remember a snowstorm progged from this far out actually verifying in this area. Usually the ones that actually happen only show up 1-2 days out on the models. Everything is perfect now, though.
VABILLUPS1
12z Euro goes boom.
Inudaw
Not really. 12z Euro is about the same Surface low position wise as the 0z. ^^; heaviest precip is confined to SC/NC coastal areas.
VABILLUPS1
Man, Virginia Beach is coastal NC for all practical purposes.

DJnVa
Looks like that was an outlier at this point. We're still on the northern edge of things and it's just a bit too far out to tell...if this thing shifts north at all, we're golden. Normally we're at the southern edge and it always creeps north on us.
D-Money
All eyes on next week but looking at the current radar. Line of Pecip is headed our way.

SeVa
Midweek system is done. Don't worry. Since when is a 5 day forecast spot on? The minute differences upstream, which are not even resolved yet as the system has not been sampled, have a dramatic effect in the storm's evolution. I wouldn't bail until 24hrs out. Kevin Druff
Anything reaching the ground out there in the west end? It hit the ground for about 20 minutes, if that, then it dried up. KD
MACoastWx
It hit the ground for about 20 minutes, if that, then it dried up. KD Thanks. Looked like you were fighting a dewpoint of 8° at the time.
Kevin Druff
Thanks. Looked like you were fighting a dewpoint of 8° at the time. Yep. In fact, after 2 hours of pretty solid radar returns over my head (the beam is at 4,200 feet, I'm at 250' or so), my dew point soared from 6° to 8° ... insane how dry it was earlier today. SEVAsNOwSTORM
Still looks like we're too far north and we'll be on the outside looking in...I haven't seen everything though. Yes we are on the outside looking in but the trend in our favor. Even more ensembles with the 06z run are showing significant snows for SE VA. Looking very interesting right now. If the trend continues SE VA and NE NC will be in the sweet spot.
SeVa
I would much rather be on the northern edge than the southern edge and have no worries about mixing.
DJnVa
Oh definitely. We usually sit on the southern boundary and watch it keep sliding north.

VABILLUPS1
It's back? I guess this is just the way with SE Virginia snowstorms. 6z GFS and 12z NAM brings significant snow back to extreme SE Virginia Tuesday night-Wed. Don't know what to think now.
