NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW YORK NY
510 PM EDT MON OCT 7 2013

...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MOVED ACROSS NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY...

BASED ON DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR...VOLUNTEER SKYWARN SPOTTERS AND LAW
ENFORCEMENT REPORTS...AS A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MOVED
ACROSS THE REGION...IT PRODUCED WIND DAMAGE...A FUNNEL CLOUD AND
HEAVY RAIN.

NO DEATHS AND NO INJURIES OCCURRED.

SIGNIFICANT WIDESPREAD WIND DAMAGE DID NOT OCCUR.

HOWEVER...ISOLATED STRAIGHT LINE WIND DAMAGE OCCURRED ACROSS
PASSAIC AND BERGEN COUNTIES WHERE WIND GUSTS ESTIMATED UP TO 60
MPH CAUSED A PARTIAL ROOF COLLAPSE...A FEW PIECES OF SIDING
STRIPPED OFF STORES...POWER LINES AND TREES DOWN.

BASED ON THIS INFORMATION...

A DAMAGE SURVEY WILL NOT BE PERFORMED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.
