Tornadomachine
Yeah... plus this meso: http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/md/md1955.html The wording for that MD makes me think that there will be a severe watch, not a tor. I think.
CoastalWx
I wouldn't expect any real thunder with these actually. Just more or less stronger winds and the possibility of brief spin-ups.

Typhoon Tip
TOR watch coming soon Most likely some kind of watch ...they are 60%. I can tell you though, there is definitely a warm buoyant feel to the air where we have been primarily partly sunny since noon. It's 75/66 here. Also, this is exactly what I was talking about earlier about generating more CAPE than the models: "..STEEPENING LOW-LEVEL LAPSE RATES TO SOME EXTENT WHILE PROVIDING A LOCALIZED BOOST TO PBL-DERIVED BUOYANCY." Als, this is fasincating: "NWD-DIRECTED HORIZONTAL CONVECTIVE ROLLS IN THIS REGION AFFIRM THE COINCIDENCE OF A DEEPER PBL WITH STRONG LOW-LEVEL SHEAR." I noticed rolling CU structures, too, when I went to lunch shortly after it cleared up. I was think, wow, the CU's are rotating.

CoastalWx
Yeah, I don't get the severe "thunderstorm" watch, with very little lightning over the past 2 hours with this line. Well techically they can warn for "severe" conditions even with no lightning. They don't have severe tstm warnings because of lightning..they warn for the wind or hail danger with them.
