Typhoon Tip
Hey Scott -- No kidding on the Bahama Blues. Wow did the sky open up here along Rt 2 in N Mass. Temp is 74 here now, too. Took a quick pic of the sky, and note "General Sherman", the giant orange-tinted maple on the left hand side. He's a solid 10 days ahead of last year in terms of rate of foliage change. Typhoon Tip
You don't name all your neighborhood trees? The tree's a monstrosity. It stands estimated to 60 foot, and has a radial girth of 30 feet! The trunk's diameter is over 4 feet, easily. The largest known Red Wood tree has actually been named General Shermon, and is a tourist attraction in Seqoia National Forest. Im MY neighborhood, that Maple is General Sherman! powderfreak
SLK went from gusting near 40 prior to the line to CALM and +RN. So looks like once the rain starts the wind dies off quickly.

powderfreak
Here comes the line for VT. I just rode the 4-wheeler down from the summit to clear out before it hits. Few raindrops and noticeably increasing winds in the lower elevations.

That's usually what happens. As soon as the downpour starts, the winds end.
