SouthernNJ
Perhaps Dual-Pol is not showing hail holding together, but I thought the Stanton storm would be SVR at this time based on reflectivity and amount of rotation above.
andyhb
Maybe it's just my mind being stuck in New England, as this is the first time I'm actually out in a legit threat. Just stating my opinions. Yeah this isn't your typical low topped SNE threat.
tornadotony
Whole thing's going up now...give it an hour or two and a few storm mergers and we're going to be hot in business.
Indystorm
I'm even beginning to wonder if the svr warned line near Manhattan KS will break up and become more discrete as it moves ne into se Nebraska and nw MO where helicity ramps up significantly even though I know the current focus is on storms farther north. Nah, they're already undercut, so the tornado threat down there is minimal. If those anvils start spreading though it might locally limit the threat for SE NE. I wonder if the lead cell laid down a nice OFB for the second, rapidly developing cell.

If those anvils start spreading though it might locally limit the threat for SE NE. I'm not referring to the tor threat now in ne KS but later after they move ne into areas where helicity is greater. Good point of caution on the anvils though.
Chicago Storm
Two lowerings. One with southern And he other with northern cell.
SouthernNJ
The storm merger really helped with the tornado touchdown, although I still believe the original storm should've had a SVR before that. Doesn't matter as it is very intense now.
Indystorm
I'm always amazed that 5 p.m. local time frequently seems to be the magic hour in many of these tornado occurrences.

SouthernNJ
Would not be surprised to see a powerful tornado soon. Moving very much to the right and actually now more south of Wayne. Plainview and Creighton have a couple of supercells around now, and another suspicious-looking storm just crossed the KS/NE border.

OceanStWx
DRC grew big time on latest KOAX scan...if there's not a violent tornado in progress, then there's about to be. Not very far off from where several HRRR runs said a violent supercell would be. I am amazed sometimes at how well it can pick these signals out. SouthernNJ
This supercell is officially an animal. Tremendous radar presentation, must have an awesome structure to look at. The tornado will move very near Wakefield after going just SE of Wayne on its present heading. Slight left jog may take it right into Wayne, hopefully not.
