Snowstorms
http://www.wunderground.com/climate/local.html?id=42500432769&var=TAVG Here's a great tool I forgot about until tonight, there are quite a few stations near Canada.... Some are nearly flat trend, but most show the usual 1975-1995 warming bounce. It even has warming scenarios added to the trend lines, some look quite funny when placed against the flat trend stations. As i have highlighted earlier, much of Southern Canada south of about Yellowknife hasn't warmed much if at all in the past 60-80 years and most of the warming that has been seen is again, because of the UHI and urbanization. In fact there are some stations i saw a while ago where i witnessed a declining trend in terms of temperatures. In the 2000's since the super El nino of 97-98 temperatures have balanced out in some stations but 2011-12, 2001-02 and 2009-10 skew it up a bit given there unusual warm winters. Toronto for example, in terms of high temperatures hasnt changed at all, low temperatures have changed and that affected the overall mean but not by much.
