The Euro ensembles delay the cold a day or two versus the last couple days. This is not surprising since they often like to rush pattern changes in initially. This is the type of pattern that gets the N plains and N Rockies cold...and then it finally gets to us.

Certainly could see a cutter before that happens...in fact, the OP has one and the ensembles sort of support the idea around 10/18-19....longs ways out still though.

I feel like we usually *need* a good cutter or two in the fall to really bring that cold air out of the southern Canadian plains and Midwest/Great Lakes region.... like something going over the eastern Lakes and up through the St Lawrence River Valley, slowing as it goes and just drilling the cold air southeast behind it.

I don't think we should be afraid of cutters in late October or early November.

We dont need a good cutter for cold, that sounds like a postive ole wives tale spin on a otherwise crap track.

we surely may get one or four b4 it gets cold but they arent needed

I mean i guess unless u are wishing one will have upslope snow to coat ur fanny on backside
