powderfreak
As you mentioned yesterday, the forests will simply be waiting for snow after this. My yard will be ready for snow as soon as I get the leaves up. All the trees around my place are pretty much bare after being full of leaves 48 hours ago. I was thinking about shoveling my front walkway today...

The leaves on my hike yesterday were falling at such a rate with no wind that it sounded like rain was falling. Add just a little wind and they'll be off like Ginx's prom dress. Damage In Tolland
One typhoon doesn't change the pattern for 4 months. Wait until Halloween to have a good idea. I didn't say it did, but it changes it from the steady state it's been in for the last 40 days. It gets the process rolling and should have a nice trough in the east by day 10..Maybe not cold, but certainly cool
CoastalWx
As the pattern changes somewhat, it seems like the signal from any tropical forcing becomes weak so we may be sort of riding out the pattern for a little while until something comes along to change it for better or worse in early November. September had some awesome cold shots (records set in some spots) and seemed dry. Now it's warm and moist. Seems like something changed maybe two weeks ago...not 40 days ago. Baroclinic Zone
Man I'm still having issues with this site. I don't know what security upgrade happened but it sucks. I've been wracking my brain to see what I come up with. I'm at work and it's working fine. I think we have Comcast at work. We have Comcast at home and the site was loading slow, or not at all. What do you have for a provider?

CoastalWx
LOL at the euro. It takes that low up the coast to give I-90 south rain, then moves offshore....redevelops, slightly retros and then sucks down a big trough.
