end of next week looks even hotter then this week on the euro.  Plus the dry conditions continue, only .25 total qpf for the entire run

People don't understand the scope of this heat. Daily highs are running 15 to 20 degrees above normal and by next week, they will be even more.

the overall pattern is more important than correlations. get that vortex out of alaska

Exactly. We had a very warm October 2007, but we still had a warm follow up through January 2008. As long as the vortex stays out of Alaska after next month, then I'm fine with this winter. Although something tells me that this upcoming winter may find it's way around for a dud, despite the vortex moving out.

Oh I am looooooovin it.....where's all the laughter now......it gon be hot

This is nearly exceeding 2007.  We'll see what mon -wed bring with the trough/tropicl moisture and any cutoff do with clouds and rain chances.  ECM is righ back into the october furnace by wed.  Very nice out  Ill take this through Thanksgiving then snow mode for me.

Eaxactly, the warmth is also helping to keep the ocean warmer. That could lead to more explosive winter storms with more mostuire.
