Sundog
Gfs agrees, a nice 2 day chill, many places away from the city and coast could see 20s for lows and highs could stay in the 40s. I think we all stay in the 40s.

Analogs are somewhat helpful when trying to make a seasonal forecast; but overall, the weather does not have a memory.

bluewave
Looks like 32F is possible for Southern Westchester County. Central Park should see it's closest temperature to freezing for the season to date with an early guess low of 32-34 degrees. The 20's should be just north and west of the city. SnoSki14
Drought slowly worsening now, really noticing the dried out grass and trees. Beautiful foliage though, one of the better ones I've seen in a long time. The gfs only gives us .25 or less with tonight and tomorrow and that's all for at least a week. It does have a close call with a low just offshore on Saturday.
IsentropicLift
Some encouraging signs showing up today in the extended on the GFS. Looks like we flip back to a negative NAO around mid-month. We're starting to see some phasing potential around mid-month also.
