so was that it???   Came in around 5 and finished up around 8....looks and felt like a glorified frontal passage.   Unless something develops on the backside, that was just...well...pathetic...lol.

ILN still says snow likely after midnight?  Maybe they are expecting a backrub?

ILN gets an F all around for this one...including the WWA that went into affect 4 hours before precip began and remains in affect 6 hours after precip ended.   And that's just the WWA's north of CMH.....then they actually issued one for CMH a couple hours ago....

There is some back fill out in Indy but appears to be moving more NE. Guess we'll see. Again, not sure what ILN was thinking upping to 2-4 this afternoon.

37 degrees right now.

wow...don't mean to beat a deadhorse but ILN fell flat on their faces today.  The forecast this morning was for a mix to begin early afternoon transitioning to snow late afternoon and light snow tonight.

What I can't understand is that all models clearly showed the 850 0 line getting well into northern OH this evening....so why was their forecast weighted moreso on snow and/or a quick change to snow?

Just windy here with ice blowing off the trees sounding like sleet.

Even though i am ready for spring!! I here rumors of a big storm about a week from now..Any discussion is up for grabs!!

where'd you hear that?    Possible wave on a pressing arctic front but doesn't look too spectacular as of now....in fact could very well be suppressed to our south.    Plenty of time to change and this year I wouldn't bet on anything outside day 3.

yep, I came out of the gym around 9 and almost busted my a** when I stepped off the walk onto the parking lot and hit that black ice.   I thought the same thing, ILN had a low above freezing...wtf. lol

How much snow is left in your backyard? I think we still have @ 4" or 5". It took a huge hit today though and probably will tomorrow. doubtful there will be much left when the severe threat moves in.

I haven't measured but I'd guess 4-6" as well.   Even if you take away the melting, it just seems to compact and settle over time.  We haven't had a refresher in a few days...missed out on yesterdays 'event', other than a car topper dusting.

Steve's source can't be any worse than ILN this winter.

The late weekend/early next week storm has my interest.   The last storm showed that the nw trend is not a given.  if you remember the gfs was way too nw at this timeframe and the euro was closer to a hit.   This is the 00z euro snowfall and euro ensemble, (which is farther se than the OP).     It may not be a pristine snowstorm here, but definitely looks interesting.    Oh well, if the ground is going to remain concrete, might as well throw a blanket of snow on top of it.

The 6Z has shifted way to the NW (as Buckeye noted it's trend), showning an ice storm of the ages for the I-70 folks now instead of up to 2ft of snow, after a couple inches of front end snow then up to a 1.5" ice over a long period of time (like over 36 hours), that would totally suck!  Oh well it's an outlier, come on 12Z!!!
