jbcmh81
that's what I'm thinking....and still coming down heavy Yep. If we can manage to stay mostly or all snow, I don't think 10" is out of the question now. I noticed the yellow returns fell apart over Franklin County. It's like the mix wants to push over us, but the cold is *just* winning the battle.
weatherzen
Just back from a short walk to the corner. Nice heavy snow kinda like sugar. A good 4-5 inches.

Hoosier
Danger time for Columbus looks like around 2 AM and after. If it's going to changeover that's when it would happen.

Maybe, but I'd think most of the heavier stuff would be over by then given the dry slot in Indiana. I think the chances of changeover are reducing. Steve
Danger time for Columbus looks like around 2 AM and after. If it's going to changeover that's when it would happen. But if we keep snowing like this untill 2 am..we would probably see close to 10 inches! So ice away at 2!!

jbcmh81
It's been a wild 24 hours, to say the least. It just reminds us that, no matter what the models do, no matter what climo says, we can still be surprised in good ways. Maybe not as often as we'd like, but it does happen. That's the only reason I don't walk away from it all.

vespasian70
Serious question, how is that area in NW central OH doing in regards to the 8"-10" call? Most of the high totals I've seen are coming from areas S and E of there.
jbcmh81
Weird to see Dayton as mixing while ridiculously heavy snow continues to fall here. Usually it's the opposite.

jbcmh81
Another 0.19" liquid the last hour at the airport, for a total so far of 0.68". Unless the airport is having ratios under 10-1, they're at or above 7".

Usually it's the opposite. channel 4 had a model that showed this perfectly....just as the mix moves in the slot cuts it off. Looks like maybe another hour of snow?
