jbcmh81
Hmm... I would've thought that most of those yellow returns would be a mix or sleet, but 9pm obs, like in Wilmington, directly under them, show snow only. The only locations reporting mix are around Cincinnati.
buckeye
seems colder than expected? Especially west and nw of here.

dilly84
Haha! Yea, I see you there now. I didn't watch his forecast tonight - he seemed to be following behind ILN lock step earlier. I always basically tell him he's wrong. But I started to tell him he had no idea how to read a model so he started the geek posts lmao. Sorry but when you're posting clown maps 6 days out someone should harass ya cause most can't read models so they see that and think that's what we're getting. And it's irresponsible of him to post em all the time.
oldlogin
I wonder if the push of cold dry is fighting harder... looks impressive as hell on radar Good point --when you put the ILN radar into motion the stronger returns push North and then turn East just South of I70----Light to moderate snow still falling here with no mixing
HighTechEE
I wonder if the push of cold dry is fighting harder... looks impressive as hell on radar Ok update, 9:20 back to hvy snow, very little sleet at 23.7 out. WxItalian
Power snowing here, no more sleet mix. Put my black lab out for ten minutes, when he came back in had snow covering his back. He shook it off before I had a chance to measure it.

buckeye
I'm not seeing the mix line make much progress north. Also seems colder than expected to our immediate north.
sojitodd
It looks and even sounds a bit like it is mixing, but when I went out in it, it was all snow. Coming down heavily near W. Jeff.
iluvsnow
It seems the NOAA radar presentation from ILN indicates the best snow is just north of the yellows....the sleet is definitely being indicated by the yellows as High Tech indicated earlier here in Bellbrook. Keep the yellow brick road just to your south and you are gold...er white!

vespasian70
Bradley is saying the ice storm warning in southern OH maybe cancelled soon due to colder temps. Nice trend if it happens.

jbcmh81
Incredibly enough, this may end up like February 5-6, 2010. That storm was right on the line until the last minute. I remember that there was a mix/rain that came right up to the county line, but we managed to stay heavy snow the entire storm. One of the very few I can remember that happened that way. Will it happen again tonight?
vespasian70
ILN upped 4-8 I'm just glad the surprise Ice Storm isn't gonna happen. Hopefully we can pull this one off.
JayPSU
yea, it's 'loud snow'...lol. I think it definitely has some ice in it sneet? Yeah I just let our dog outside and the snow is loud like there are ice crystals in it. Still absolutely ripping though. My Doug's back was covered!
