Cincy12
Dilly, so your thinking Cincy gets 6-8 in of snow? Just double checking?
dilly84
Dilly, so your thinking Cincy gets 6-8 in of snow? Just double checking? No I have 1 - 3" with 1/4 - 1/2" ice. But I think it's possible for northern parts of the county to see a bit more snow depending on how hard it hits and how long the WAA holds off. jbcmh81
has ILN updated??? Yes. They make no mention of latest model runs and basically state that areas north of 71 could get 10", but Dayton through Columbus "a few inches" due to a lot of mix. The actual zone is still 3-5". They make no mention of latest model runs and basically state that areas north of 71 could get 10", but Dayton through Columbus "a few inches" due to a lot of mix. The actual zone is still 3-5". Kind of contradict themselves because Dayton is NW of I-71 and they say 10" north but then say a few inches here. Local met showing the mix line riding along I-71 with mostly snow here. If that happens, 10" could happen.
JayPSU
Lol...look at the lines for the ice and snow mesoscale discussions. Right smack over top of us. http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/md/

jbcmh81
A progression of the storm so far... more or less, by the hour, 7AM-5PM. http://goo.gl/maps/QxNNt http://goo.gl/maps/0ujU8 http://goo.gl/maps/2VC9O http://goo.gl/maps/TK64e http://goo.gl/maps/KBeij http://goo.gl/maps/w4Lht http://goo.gl/maps/v7NGn http://goo.gl/maps/2Bcuo http://goo.gl/maps/RxrY1 http://goo.gl/maps/zhr7Q http://goo.gl/maps/k7AKO Just some takeaways from this... -The surface freezing line hit a brick wall around 1pm along the Ohio River and never moved further north, and started to sink back south a bit in the last few hours. -The low seems in no hurry to get organized and short north, or at least hasn't so far. As of 6pm, it was near or just north of the LA/MS border directly north of New Orleans. Both would seem to bode well for us, but who knows.
