buckeye
assume I'm allowed to post this since I took it off twitter. Looks like euro on the same wavelength as the gfs and nam.....not sure if it takes sleet into account however.

Mix starting to move into the Cincinnati and Dayton areas. http://goo.gl/maps/Tky9H well if you believe the NWS radar that shows precip type (which I've found is actually pretty damn accurate), mix is as close as Champaign county. Cold air is moving in, now we just wait for the precip to start filling in.
jbcmh81
Really liking the ILN update. A VERY LONG TRAIN OF PRECIPITATION WHICH ISALIGNING ON THE WARM SIDE OF THE INCREASING UPPER LEVEL JETSAMPLED BY RAOBS TO THE NORTH/WEST. THE 05.18Z NCEP GUIDANCE /NAMAND GFS/ CAME IN WITH VERY HEFTY QPF FROM NOW THROUGH EARLYFRIDAY EVENING...A BIG UPTICK OVER 05.12Z ECMWF GUIDANCE.THE FORCING /FGEN AND POTENTIAL RELEASE OF INSTBY/ SUGGESTS THENCEP GUIDANCE MAY NOT BE TOO FAR OFF...BUT LIKELY WILL NOT BE ASWIDESPREAD AS THESE MODELS PORTRAY...BUT MORE IN LOCALIZED NARROWCONVECTIVELY ENHANCED BANDS LATE TONIGHT/TOMORROW. THUS DON/T WANTTO MOVE TOO FAR ABOVE CURRENT FCST AMOUNTS. STILL THE GREATESTCONCERN AS OF EARLY THIS EVENINGS ANALYSIS...IS FOR POTENTIAL OFNARROW BUT VERY HIGH IMPACT BAND OF SNOW /SOUTHEAST INDIANA INTODAYTON AND NEAR COLUMBUS/ DEVELOPING FRIDAY...AND ALSO NARROW BUTSIGNIFICANT BAND OF SLEET AND/OR FREEZING RAIN IN I-71 CORRIDORFROM CVG TO WILMINGTON TO AREAS SOUTH OF CMH. It sounds like the Columbus area might see its snow forecast totals upped.

Remember we really aren't suppose to see snow til very early morning.

Looks like some light accumulating snow Sunday possibly transitioning to light freezing or plain drizzle. bulk of precip is front-end frozen. weatherzen
Hearing the pitter patter of sleet on my window just east of OSU airport. The wife was flushing ice down the toilet earlier. When I asked wtf she said her colleagues at work were all doing it to bring on a snow day (she works at a high school). I'm now certain we can count on at least 8 inches!
