buckeye
ILN has updated their Franklin County area forecast to a total of 3-5" including late tonight's arctic front. So basically many places in central Ohio could end with 8-12" from these 2 events (or 3 if you separate the frontal snow),

Add another 3" or "5 will be quite a deep snow pack when the arctic cold comes in.

OHweather
After a low of -5 around 7:30, it's now snowing with visibility under a mile. While the heaviest will probably stay to my north, should see some good bursts here and 1-2". Looks like ILN will win the battle between ILN and RLX (note how on the map above, the snow amounts drop off at the RLX boarder).

fogbreath
161 was "fun" getting back to Franklin County. Good steady snow throughout - heard about the level 1 just as we got to 270, and then saw a sign for an accident on the freeway between 71 and 23. vespasian70
Wow. .. up to 34... Roads still a mess Hopefully any minimal snow which will melt tonight due to rising temps will be replaced with the front.
JayPSU
Temperatures will probably start to level off and then drop soon with the sun down now. Temp has started dropping in Cincy and Wilmington. Any melting will be minor.

OHweather
We peaked at 34 in Athens but have fallen to 29. I have a feeling that as the winds pick up later tonight we see temperatures jump back up into the mid or even upper 30's...however there is still about 6" on the ground and there is a 0% chance that a significant amount of that melts. Picked up a bit under an inch this morning.
buckeye
supposedly we are 36 but I was just out and there is no sign of any melting, even on the cars and my truck thermometer read 25, which is usually very accurate. Either way snow pack should remain 90% in tact, even if we continue to warm around 40 for a short time. Should be interesting to watch the frontal approach and passage unfold....I think everything is on the table including a bit of quick rain before the front pulls thru. vespasian70
It prob isn't a bad thing to have the top layers of the snowpack melt a bit before the frontal passage. Maybe it will cut down how much blows around and drifts after it refreezes.
