American Wx Model Center V.2 is Online!

Version 2.0 is officially online. Go to models.americanwx.com to check it out! Here are some of the new changes & features to utilize:

- All data is built into the model center console
- Run time select is now a drop down box - New map view drop down box to choose available views for selected parameter
- Init time and valid time data shown in the header for each map.. even local time!
- Improved loop features - speed slider, go forward, backward and rock, and stays at the top as you scroll
- New trend loop - compares a selected model, parameter, and forecast time and runs a loop of the same time for the previous run times.
- Added more regional views to some GFS parameters
- NAM now runs every 3 hours
- GGEM now runs every 6 hours to 240 hrs.
- RGEM now covers the entire US & runs every 3 hrs to 48 hrs.
- Model comparison loop - Loops maps for a selected parameter & forecast time for all matching model sets.
- More parameters will be coming in over the next few days. If you would like to request any additional parameters, please contect Allan at [email protected]. 

Also please be awere that we are still cleaning up a bit and fixing any remaining kinks in the system over the next few days. Thanks!

Also, we are in the process of moving the GEMPAK processes to a cloud server. This will mean reliable uptime, faster outputs, and more maps. Good things are coming to the American Wx Model Center.
