H2O
Debt ceiling is the 17th I think so by then hopefully. My money is on by Friday. GOP is already starting to cave it seems. 13 or so defections as of yesterday so do the math to swing things and it will be about 2 weeks

After Obama said yesterday afternoon to John Harwood on CNBC that Congress should be worried about the effects, Warren Buffet told CNBC this morning it's no big deal if it went through the end of the month. lol the mouse that roared

Kmlwx
I guess heat alone is not a determining factor in the PEPCO rewards day declaration. We had one a few weeks ago where it was cooler than today and no rewards day today. Seems very inconsistent.

EastCoast NPZ
Wonder if I have mowed for the last time this year? October is a total torch. Unless we don't get another drop of rain; you'll be mowing for a good long time.
snowfan
Certainly looking like the shutdown will spread over into next week. Was on Capitol Hill today for lunch and you wouldn't know things were shutdown from the foot traffic. Restaurants were still plenty busy. Surprised by the number of businesses offering discounts/freebies for those of us on furlough.

wxmeddler
Matt says that is low. The profile is pretty crappy. I loaded the bufkit file for Rapid City and loaded the elevation for Mt. Rushmore. They get about 2.5" of water for ~15-18" of snow. So 7:1 ratios.
