Most recently, a 915MHz boundary layer profiler managed by the U.S. EPA in Research Triangle Park (site ID: RTPNC) has been added to the real time data stream and is available in MADIS and online via the links below. A map of the boundary layer profilers and a table of the sites is shown at the bottom of this post. The additional profilers have already proven helpful for near term forecasting at WFO Raleigh as well as forecasting for our aviation and fire weather partners.
