Thanks westmc.  Well the trend is not our friend for sure. Looks like my storm total know according to the GSP snow map I  only 3 inches. Lol that is what I got yesterday. Meh trying not to read into each model run and just see what happens.

The Euro has been mighty consistent over the last several DAYS with this system, unlike the NAM and GFS which change their tune at each 6-hour run.  The wise choice is to go with the Euro for this storm system.

I am still going 8-12" for AVL and I see absolutely nothing new to change that.  In fact, it looks like most of the models are starting to cave to the Euro.  No surprises there given the 5-day verification score on the Euro is a 97/100!

Yeah Tracker Euro has been stone solid the past few days.  Would be really hard to bet against it with the new verification score.  Wasn't it spitting out similar snowfall maps for this event 10 days ago?

Sticking to your guns, and I like it. The American models continue to waffle the system...

Do you plan to post a map?

In short...YES!  Consistency in these events is so important, and I continued to stress the likelihood of a westward shift in the track given the climatology of such Miller-A patterns.  Finally starting to look like the NAM and GFS are inching their way that direction...

Hi Guys, back in Yancey Co. Pam's Dad had some heart issues so we had to cut our trip short and flew back last night. Little disappointed but maybe it'll snow a little.

Looks like Yancey Co got the shaft yesterday and we'll be shafted today. Tomorrows system looks to be a little too far east for a big snow here but I hope everyone else east and south gets hammered. Good luck to all!!!

Hope everything is ok Joe!......you might not be the big winner but a nice synoptic snow is in your card imo.

Im confused. What trend are we talking about? As far as I can tell all the models are looking good except for the GFS?

Yeah, seems like there is a lot of cliff jumping in this thread right now. Everyone just needed to relax and enjoy the at least 8-12"+ that we're all gonna see in the higher elevations.

I mean, the euro gave us over a foot, the GEFS has around an inch liquid, as does the NAM. The average SREF plume is around 10 inches. Looks pretty good to me. The only one I havent seen is the euro eps.

As HurricaneTracker has posted several times, the Euro Ensembles are gold. They haven't wavered from us being plastered.
