I used to go there when I was a kid since I had family in suburban Detroit, just about every July for 8 or so years. I hope it's still as nice of a place as it was then because that was a great place to spend a day. We would ride the train and get frozen custard. Colors has been going awhile, but only certain types of trees are in full color right now. Some of the maples won't be in full color until the weekend and next week. Usually the trees are mostly bare by Halloween, but we are at peak color here. The spring greenup was 1-2 weeks late, but the color show seemed to start on time, it just seems extra lengthy this year with very little wind so far this month (will change tomorrow).
