A bit off-topic here, but does anybody have an idea of how Albany scrutinizes its spotter reports for snow? I always use the storm report interface... sometimes they publish my report as a "trained spotter", sometimes as "public", and sometimes not at all. I have taken the basic and advanced skywarn classes but I don't think I got a spotter ID or anything like that. Not a huge deal, I just want to make sure I'm not inadvertently compromising data integrity because I missed a step along the lines.

Not sure about Albany since I havn't reported to them before.  I took both the basic and advanced courses through Upton and each time I got a card with my spotter ID number.  I report under that number and it always comes up at least as a spotter, on a rare occassion it mentioned advanced spotter.

After getting hours of light slop, moderate snow right now

Light snow coming down again my me also. With some freezing drizzle mixed in.

I see they just posted a weather advisory til tomorrow morning 10am for freezing drizzle and black ice.

Odd thing is that it looked like things were ending a little while ago.

Light snow picking up over here in the Poconos as well. After the thump of snow over night and this am, it was sleeting hard for a good chunk of the morning, also had some freezing rain mixed in. That 11 inch snow pack is now surely cement. On top of it, excellent day for my snow blower to take a crap lol. I was outside most of the day cleaning up, and my back is killing. Good thing I didn't go to work today! I'm so glad we finally got a major snowfall though guys, it's been awhile.

I'm still keeping an eye on this weekend, we have played this song and dance too much this year. Would not shock me if we get another moderate snowfall come late weekend. If so, what an awesome stretch we're having here.

Also, ytd is now 47 inches. Not too shabby.

Also, Looks like My county Pike, and especially the northern half of Sussex county were some lucky dogs. The county directly to my south only received 6 inches, and mainly sleet/frz rain. I wasn't up early this morning, but I assume that line was fairly close. So glad to be on the right side of the gradient this time!
