IrishRob17
Flakes are huge right now lol... Mix line must be near by It appears that Radarscope is doing a stellar job tracking that. You are close for sure but the snow is even heavier at that line.
chietanen
Measured 1.5" in the last hour, still coming down moderate to at times heavy. No sign of mixing yet. Latest HRRR shows a brief window of mixing is possible around here sometime in the next couple hours, then a changeover back to all snow this afternoon. BxEngine
Looks like the Euro won for up here.. 99% of us never tainted.. Im shocked that we even did this well down by me, the HRRR and the other short term models that we thought were overdone werent far off. I was expecting a lot more sleet earlier to keep accums down. chietanen
Radar looks to be drying out in PA You are quite the pessimist! lol Enjoy the snow! HRRR indicates we likely dryslot for a couple hours soon, then possibly pick back up in intensity for a few hours this afternoon as the primary moves east. I doubt we see the rates we are seeing now though. The Euro definitely came out ahead this time. I will say that the HRRR and the RGEM were pretty spot on too. Juliancolton
Quickly eclipsing 9" here with awesome snow growth and rates. Well over 1" per hour. If I can pull off another two hours of this, 1' looks within range. 100% pure fluffy snow. 28.2F/27F.

TJay
I'll toss my 2 cents in, its the best radar app for a phone. I have it configured to use my Allison House data feed

chietanen
Biggest flakes of the day here, looks like sleet line is starting to rapidly push into the area. Coincides nicely with the dryslot approaching.
IrishRob17
Hi Rob How does Radarscope compare to the free radar apps & sites? I never heard of it before. It is a paid app on android. I find it to be the most accurate radar out there. I've shown non-weather folks who were impressed because their radar showed rain where we were and Radarscope showed it a couple of miles away, where it was actually falling. It's very good for severe storm tracking too.
Pitmaster
Awesome storm! A little over 10 inches with light snow/sleet falling now. Temp 23F We really got hammered!

About 9" on the ground, sleet/snow mix right now, more sleet than snow. Heh, I had the same issue. I was disappointed at first but there's still something nice about waking up to some deep fresh snow. Reminiscent of winter mornings of childhood. Sleet appears to be surging north, but the backedge of the main precip shield is in sight as well. Maybe the radar can fill in a bit this morning as the coastal low becomes more dynamic. I'm right over the mountain from them on the other side in Monroe- I would say that's probably accurate because I'm close to 11 inches where I am. Juliancolton
Welp, over the course of about 10 minutes I flipped from pouring snow to a light sleet/snow mixture. Prevented me from blowing by the 9" mark as I would have guessed... right at 9.0" now
