reports of freezing rain and sleet as far north as Reading, PA may indicate we get the mix earlier in NW NJ.

 

Exactly as modeled on the last couple runs of the HRRR (just checked the 3z).  You can also see the sleet line sinking south of Reading in the last couple images.

Looking at Dual Pol now.. You should go back to all snow down there. The main mix line is around I-80

 

By far the hardest it has snowed in the last 3-4 yrs. 

 

Approaching 6" now

 

I was going to say this is the most intense snowfall rate I've seen in at least a few years.

 

Latest HRRR shows that most of Orange, Ulster, and Dutchess stay all snow until we dryslot around 10 am.
