snywx
Local forecast is predicting a low temperature of -9° on Friday. That would be the coldest temperature I've experienced since I went to college over 40 years ago, Really? How long have you been living up there. snywx
0z NAM qpf output.. MGJ -- .80" SWF -- .79" POU -- .79" DXR -- .67" FWN --.66" HPN -- .56" Snow ratios will be impressive as well. Obviously this will change about 10 times but nice to see the consistency being displaced in the models for the interior.

Animal
Good evening all, Cold night. Temp is 13F. Looks as if 4 inches or possibly more of snow is possible later in the week. The real story may be the cold temps. Point and click is calling for a low of 1F on Friday night. Some reports indicate we get below zero. Cheers. snywx
The trolling on the 00z model thread is outrageous.. Why don't moderators ever step in?? Why do you bother going in there to begin with? I gave up on those threads years ago. Ill drop into the banter thread from time to time but their pbp is primarily for NYC/LI. Their version of "we" has nothing to do with us up here. As of now GFS/NAM/EC give us ( the interior) a warning criteria event. Should put many of us above 20" for the season. Not a bad start

Animal
Good afternoon Fans, Temp 23F Ops - light snow We have had light snow showers the past 90 minutes or so. The intensity has picked up in the last 15 minutes. Hoping we can squeeze out a 1/2 inch today. Best

snywx
I'm worried with GGEM having performed very well this winter so far has not had any significant snows on Any run yet I wouldn't worry much. Latitude will help since we will be closer to the arctic boundary. This area is where WAA snows will break out. Snow is pretty much a lock up here. Now do we get 2" or 12" is the big question
Pitmaster
Happy New Years to all my suburban folks! Let's hope our first storm of the new year starts off with a bang. Just picked up about a half inch during a squall a little while ago. Hopefully it's a prelude to bigger things this week. Cheers to all!

NepaJames8602
Which office issues warnings/watches, etc for Sullivan County NY? Are they always late in doing so? That would be Binghamton Nws. In order to reach watch criteria, they would need to be confident in a 7+ inch snowfall. I am also covered under Binghamton CWA here in Nepa, they will be late to the party as usual, trust me lol.
