Sorry to hear you guys had accidents but glad your OK. I used the lower gears the whole way home so I wouldnt need the brakes. Once you hit the brakes in this weather you're done.

Funny thing about it I never hit the breaks.. I was going 10 mph on a hill turning left. Safe to say the car didn't turn left and kept going straight right into a tree. Last nights low temps def played a factor in the treacherous driving.

That sucks man.

I hate the fact that this snow pack is going to disappear over the weekend.  If we do get rain with temps near 60 it will be gone before we know it.  That's one reason the 95-96 winter was not my favorite, watching three feet of dense snow pack disappear in a day totally sucked.

that would have to go to 92/93 which has numerous storms and snowpack that stayed the whole winter.  sometimes over 2 ft deep . only negative were alot of those storms went to sleet but ther than that it was the best winter i can remember

I think you are thinking of 93-94, at least for my neck of the woods.  92-93 was ok and we had the Superstorm in March but 93-94 was my favorite, solid snowpack from just after Christmas until the end of March.  Lots of brutal cold too.

I want to experience the 95-96 winter again in its entirety being i was only 10 at time and dont remember it especially the blizzard of 96', however i do love watching the local forecast for blizzard of 96' from TWC on youtube to really relive some of it

Good Day,

Current temp is 48F.

Looks to be a rather warm weekend and back into the ice box.

Point&Click Sunday is calling for 66F!

I scanned a few reports that January may be the coldest in 30-40 years.

January was the least snowy month last winter in my backyard Only one decent event on the 16th with 4.6 inches of snow.

Hopefully the forecast are accurate with cold & we get a few storms.

Best.
