I don't know, it's looking warm and if we get rain while it's warm the snow can go quick. I'm guessing if there's any snow left it will be rather ugly. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Hate to say it, but by this time next week, all we will have are a bunch of ugly scattered snow piles with a brow, muddy landscape. Say goodbye to winter wonderland. If only this could have lasted through Christmas. :(((((. Oh well, I will savor the snowy landscape while it lasts.

Yeah- Looks like chance of showers fri- sun with sun getting to the 50's. It would suck to lose it so soon after building it up. Might have to break out the snow making machine! Lol

Moderate snow here now with big flakes mixing in. Temp at 11.

5 inches would get me a one foot snow pack - would need every inch to help keep white for Christmas it looks like.

The OBS page has turned into an argument about forecasts.. Can a mod step in??

A big problem I see is that there are a lot of snowlovers and not nearly as many weather hobbyists.  Forecasts are "blown" all the time but people only notice it if it involves snow.  For example if the models and/or forecast calls for .30 of rain in the summer and we only get .10 most people don't notice but it happens all of the time.  So if that same example plays out with snowfall people see the difference and flip out but weather is still not an exact science.

I have about 3" but with this storm what I'll remember isn't how much fell it's the 17 degrees and almost no wind.  I needed to drain the tank on the leaf blower so I fired it up and cleaned the whole driveway twice   :snowing:   This stuff is fluffy!  Now I'm going for a fatbike ride and it's puking big fat flakes.

I keep my backpack ready all winter for this type of snow. Does wonders on the deck and front stoop. Now go take that XV out for some fun. ❄❄
