looks like as the coastal spins up the moisture is definitely building back in PA for those of us in NEPA/NWNJ... could be a very heavy few hours coming up.

Getting clobbered here in Monroe right now- just came back from the store. Good 6 inches and temp at 14. Was out hunting this morning in Warwick around 6am when it was 18. Surprised to see it has dropped through the day.

I see the latest shows a 50% chance of some more snow on Tuesday. Would be nice to build up a good snow pack heading into Christmas before temps moderate. Hopefully it's a good sign of things to come for the winter!

Looks like an intense band about to head into Sussex from the sw.. Can you guys confirm heavy snow?

You nailed it!  In the last five mintues the snow is falling as heavy as it has all day.  What radar did you see that band on I'd like to look at the radar you use?  Thanks for all your posts in this thread keeping us informed.

12.0 degrees, and moderate snow. Just measured exactly 6.0" here at 8:40 pm. We had several heavy bands come through the past 1-2 hrs, but short lived in duration.

Getting reports of sleet mixing as far north as Allentown Pa, that is roughly 1.5 hrs south of my location. That waa is hopefully going to be running into a brick wall shortly,

this arctic air mass is nothing to play with as well.

most recent report from Sussex airport is 14 F with light to moderate snow.

Please point me in the direction of the computer model that has this ground level cold.

I expected temps at this time to be in the mid to upper 20's.

Still seeking the heavy snow tonight. Yet to see it

I'm probably about 6-8 miles west of your with only about 700 feet in elevation and I have had mostly moderate snow with occasional heavy bursts since 5:30.

I lived in Highland Lakes from November 2002 to February 2003 while I was waiting for a new home to be built.  it is a special place in the winter.  I was greeted by an ice storm the second night I was there and many snow squalls during a frigid Decmber/January.  Enjoy it up there.

Those bands passing Allentown look intense.. 2" rates I'm sure embedded in there..

Yup, and they continue to enhance upon reaching the Poconos on north and N.E. I think there is also some geographic lift going on in the higher terrain around here. Every single band that rotates through, has surely intensified upon doing so.

Looks to be at least a few hours before we mix, at least based on dual pol.  Still can't get over how cold it is out, hovering around 13-14 degrees.  Just measured close to 6" and probably had the heaviest snow of the day while I was outside a few minutes ago.  Hopefully the radar continues to fill in a little bit.
