lakeeffectkid383
Most insane storm Ive ever seen in my entire life by a long shot and its only just begun. It is a complete total whiteout and you literally cant see your hand in front of your face. The conditions outside right now are totally and completely indescribable. This will definitely be the storm I tell my kids about years from now. Id estimate a solid 6" have fallen so far but its totally impossible to measure. Snow has to be coming down at 3"/hr + right now. Calling off from work tomorrow as Im not even daring to venture outside tomorrow. What a historic storm. Simply amazing. lakeeffectkid383
Getting absolutely crushed here. Prob snowing at close to 4"/hr right now. Cant see a single thing! Id estimate about 8" so far since this morning but its really hard to tell because some areas have 2 or 3 inches, and other areas have drifts over 2 feet! Syrmax
I think I am taking the afternoon off tomorrow and head north to observe the Lake Ontario band. Been awhile since the great Feb 2007 storm, which I actually had to drive thru repetitively to get to/from work. Should be fun. Down here nearer to SYR, we may not see measurable snow again for 10+ days.

Tornado Girl
LES Band is sitting on top of the northern tug Hill plateau, I would estimate we have picked up 30-34 inches of snow in Barnes Corners. Snow is still coming down at a rate of 3 or so inches per hour.
