I am guessing you never lived on the open ocean front, the very muggy days were few and far between. Just inland or if you were on the sound, pond or harbor yea but something about the ocean front was different. Salt air, falling asleep to the sounds of the waves, ah those were great times.

I had an ex that lived on the water. Humid is humid no matter what.

Yeah, I would've used an AC a couple nights this summer, but to me it's not worth buying one for two nights a year. I think it's something that if I had, I would use a lot more than necessary...just use it because its there.

The nighttimes are when it really comes down to it...sure it gets really hot in the day but if it drops quickly into the 60s as the sunsets, after being up near 90F, then the Dendrite window fan special works really well.

Now, in Burlington or the Champlain Valley...yes AC is needed. Without the decoupling that happens almost immediately at sundown in the mountain valleys, BTV can be sitting there with a furnace south wind and 80+ temps at midnight while its 65F and calm at MVL/MPV.

The ocean is the opposite...cooler daytime but warmer nighttime, which is sort of when you want your house to be the most comfortable. Nothing disrupts life like awful sleeping conditions.

High temps are certainly cooler which can lead to a cooler house overall, but don't say it's cool at night in late July through August.

It's not cooler at night compared to inland locations which tend to be drier, but the one thing that is often overlooked is the nice breeze you get on the coast even at night.

Freefallin', yeah I'm freefallin'

43F

41° now....you're really falling off nicely and should be in the 30s in no time.  You're within a couple of degrees of your forecasted low!  As Quincy pointed out, those frost advisories look out of whack, especially considering you're one of the coldest spots in SNE right now.

33.4° F for a low here this morning. Widespread frost, but not a freeze.

Currently 45.5° F, but I don't think we'll go as low tonight. I'm thinking a 36 or a 37 ought to do it.

44/42 here. Won't get as cold here as last night

I think you guys will equal if not be a couple of degrees colder.  But I could be wrong.  :)

Definitely a few degrees cooler here than at this time last night.

Currently 45°
