CoastalWx
BOS may have one of it's worst HI of the summer, on 9/11. Not sure what it was on the day it hit 99, but those days featured dews mixing out.

radarman
Knowing it won't last makes this tremendously enjoyable. It's not the dog day feel of late July 2011... sun is much weaker now. Deep tropical feel out there with an accompanying buzz on campus.

Deep tropical feel out there with an accompanying buzz on campus. I actually feel the same way...I enjoy this knowing is basically a one afternoon torch. Enjoy the last feel of summer without thinking there's another month of this stuff behind it.

powderfreak
What's crazy is back home it's 86/67 at the 11am at 730ft on the east side of the Greens (MVL) one county south of Canada...it'll be over 90F by 1pm at that rate. Then Friday and Saturday the highs are forecast to be in the upper 50s!

powderfreak
Mount Mansfield record high today is 73F (60 years) and its currently 70F at 4,000ft. That should fall with no problem. And it supports the 85-90F temps occurring below 1,000ft around the mountain right now.

Typhoon Tip
The dews are real..AWT. Mine is 76 Joe Furey @StormFurey20m At Noon Dewpoint at Bradley is 75 degrees(highest ever 79) with temp at 88 it feels like close to 100 degrees!! I still think it is possible that we may see some mixing out... BOS and FIT both dropped a tick or two as they eclipsed 90F, and suspect these sites and most may find the upper 60s for a time as max heating turns over the BL. Noticing some cu now over the Tughill P. of NY and W of ALB, indicating that the boundary-pause can be breached despite the EML-related cap. Having said that ... what difference does it make. It's f brutal out there whether it is 89/75, or 94/
