CoastalWx
There is a subtle s/w over PA Wednesday and some models try to generate a few cells there and elsewhere in NY state. Might have to wathc if a few try to generate a small cold pool and move east.

Ginx snewx
Just read through the Feb 7 th model run thread again. Can not wait for some real excitement in our neck of the woods. The heat and sloppy seconds severe does nothing for me.

weathafella
MET now with 95 for BOS Wednesday. OT but a huge winter on the way. At least one month may be colder than -6 departure.
SlantStickers Anonymous
Yup im playing at Merrimack right down the road from you I've got lots of friends there, they were less than reasonable when it came to cancellations last winter, but that's probably because they don't have many commuters like my school does. So when I was getting multiple days off at a time friends were still driving up to North Andover in the snow. Just something to look forward to this winter when an awesome storm is headed our way. I'm with you on this. That CFS is consistent on a brutally cold winter. Anyway, it's a good thing this week features the last 90F day. I can finally uninstall the AC. moneypitmike
Toasty tomorrow. Alas.If you're going to have a warm day, might as well do it in style. Today and Thursday temps just look annoying. ZFP has: Tuesday, upper 70's Wedneady, upper 80's Thursday, "around 80"
dendrite
The MET numbers are ridiculous for Wed...98/98/99 at the CON-MHT-ASH trio. I'll take the MAV numbers which are well under.
weathafella
Last shot at 90 for this warm season for the major climo sites in ne. Tomorrow is the only day but a pretty strong signal.
Damage In Tolland
Big downpour moved thru 30 mins ago. Hopefully a sign we can get that MCS in NY state to tickle SE over all of us later today
CoastalWx
GFS seems awfully cool for BOS tomorrow. Unless it's cloudy, I don't see how it's only 86F.

But if it doesnt, it's going to be further southwest than modeled as you noted might be the case yesterday....
CoastalWx
I would think that falls apart as the morning progresses. But if it doesnt, it's going to be further southwest than modeled as you noted might be the case yesterday.... Sct shwrs and a few tstms were progged yesterday coming through in the morning, esp western areas. I think any developing upstream convection may try to pass into NNE later, but I still think parts of NE MA are under a small possibility of getting clipped tonight. The MCS debris clouds as noted yesterday will much around with instability..but there might be upstream stuff firing late today over NY state. CoastalWx
I think it's seeing the convection potential overnight and tomorrow..seems everything has shifted Sw some No, but I am wondering if the subtle s/w and weak height falls tomorrow will cause storms to pop in Ny state and move east. I think it might, but don't go expecting widespread stuff.

powderfreak
Without wanting to clog up the SVR thread, I have noticed down here in NE CT that there seem to be more random colorful foliage than up in VT. It's not a lot, but I think the Maples here seem to be turning quicker than up north.
