Currently 50° so I think I'm going to miss the 30s but we'll see.  Lots of variables.  Heading to bed now.

Looks like my low is going to be 41°.  That's a 28° drop from yesterday's high and you don't get that kind of range every day!

Good call, Mitch.  My low so far has been 43.8, and I won't be surprised to see a little more dip before the rebound.  Regardless, cool seemed to fall short for most folks who thought they might have 30's..  Chin up, it's only September 6th!

43.8/39

Yeah, no worries for me.  The weather is what it is.  My record low for this date is 39° in 1988 so it is possible, just not this year.

UPDATE: The first report for the 2013 season will be released Saturday, September 7!

Every autumn, nature puts on a brilliant show of color in many parts of the United States. From bright yellows to vibrant reds, the leaves transform, showing their rich and vibrant hues. From the Northeast United States, to the Southeast and Midwest United States, the foliage season begins in early September in the northern regions and ends in southern locations in November. Every year, travelers flock to these areas to take in the fall foliage, to catch a glimpse of nature's splendor.

The Foliage Network was developed to provide accurate foliage information for various locations across the United States. During the months of September, October, and November, The Foliage Network collects data from our foliage spotters twice a week. This data is collected, plotted, and analyzed by The Foliage Network. The end result is The Foliage Network Report, which is used by travelers to find the best foliage conditions. The Foliage Report uses actual data unlike other "reports" which use annual averages.
