wxmanmitch
ZFP is mid-30's, p/c is 37. I'm sticking with my 45. 61.2/44 I'd go with 42-43° F for your location and about 39° F for mine. I don't think this airmass will be as cold as the NWS P&C indicates. Some spots will definitely make it down into the mid to upper 30s (Pete's glen may see 36 or 37° F), but I don't think we'll see frost around here. It's a bit too early. CapturedNature
Yeah, we should be close to the 30s by morning... skies have cleared out and dews are dropping. Temps have been plummeting since sunset. dp is settling in the low 40s. I'm currently 54° and as long as we get to 49° by 10, 39° or less should be possible. I usually lose about 10° from 10PM to the low this time of year. I think it's doable.

Baroclinic Zone
Temp is going to be chasing the DP all night. Down to 53/51. Don't think 30s are in the cards tonight but should be low 40's. 42-44F.

Don't think 30s are in the cards tonight but should be low 40's. 42-44F.Looks like most SNE stations have dews between 45-50 now, a few higher, a few lower. Could see a few stations tickle with 40/upper 30's, but that does not appear to be widespread. PVC was tied for coolest at 50 as of 9 p.m.

That sounds doable for you guys. Good luck! Already 45F here at 9:10pm...I think 30s is a lock. Maybe we tickle 35F. Some MesoNet stations around northern VT already as low as 39-43F, which is impressive for 9pm-ish.

CapturedNature
Yeah, dews in the mid 40s though, so they'll have to drop off... should be really close. The temp should drop steadily until it reaches the dp and then they will drop together. In an air mass like this, I'd expect about a 6-8° drop from when that happens (probably around 11PM?). I wasn't here, but it looks like the same type of drop as 8/24-25. dp's were a few degrees higher and the max was about 7° warmer and I bottomed out at 46°. That's why I said it should be close. Maybe the extra 10-15 minutes of darkness will help? lol

My low so far has been 43.8, and I won't be surprised to see a little more dip before the rebound. Regardless, cool seemed to fall short for most folks who thought they might have 30's..
