Damage In Tolland
Wizard...what you think..will they make in Central and N CT?
weatherwiz
Wizard...what you think..will they make in Central and N CT? I really don't think so. These storms are real slow movers and they are just to pulse like...they are lasting a bit longer than a typical pulse storm I think b/c of the elevated 0-3km helicity values. Our best bet is for some storms to pop up just west of the CT/NY border and then move into CT but we are just too far removed from the weak lift being triggered by the s/w. Our best bet should be on Monday.

weatherwiz
Meh..maybe tomorrow then..Looks like a bit more more sun tomorrow..Had some today..but not enough I guess I don't think the sun was the issue today...I think it was more of the fact that lift was very weak, and we were just too far removed from the stronger lift. HIPPYVALLEY
I wasn't exaggerating. Still no power. Most of the streets mentioned in the news flash are my neighborhood. http://www.wwlp.com/weather/power-outages-in-franklin-county

For the rest, it's one big meh.[x/quote] Yup, honestly, until tonight thise summer has been one big meh' for most of Franklin Co. for severe. One tor warning early June (?) that effected a small section of Deerfield but that's been it until tonight.
SlantStickers Anonymous
NNE just wins. Definitely. Up here tonight was pretty much the best downpour and light show I've seen all summer. Only the tornado warning at home was more exciting.
HIPPYVALLEY
Power still out, time to get ready for bed, shut off the generator (only running for 30 minute stretches) and hope we're back on line by morning. Now, no estimate on power restoration from WMECO. I'll drive around after sunrise to look for damage. Isolated storms but long and potent. http://www.wwlp.com/news/local/franklin/cleanup-underway-in-franklin-county-after-severe-storms
