RodneyS
92/70... 2013 marks the first time since 1980 that the temperature over the three-day Labor Day weekend reached at least 90 degrees each day at DCA. This year, the respective Saturday, Sunday, and Monday high temperatures were 92, 93, and 92. In 1980, they were 96, 95, and 99. But that wasn't the worst of it 33 years ago. For the return to school/work on Tuesday, September 2, 1980: 101 balmy degrees.
winterymix
CAPE is fairly high in the mid-Atlantic just now, but predicted to drop off during the night. Some juicy storms moving in along a weak instability axis ahead of the cold front. Somebody may get some late night storms, better chances heading south of the Mason-Dixon line. mattskiva
Windows down. Seriously? Still a jungle like dewpoint of 69 here and blasting the AC. I assume the drier air is coming later today, given the cooler lows for the next few nights?

Sparky
My lawn has remained green this summer since June 1 much like last summer. I guess the cooler temps this year helped which makes last summer all the more remarkable. Back to back green summers are a rarity I would have to imagine. Just one is kinda rare.
