mattie g
That crap just to the west of you is going to clip you to the south and completely whiff me. Nice VILs on the southern MoCo cell that just got warned. If it stays on the same trajectory, I should be OK for something - I'm just due south of eastern Fairfax City. Just a few tenths of an inch would be welcome. You, on the other hand. Eek...

Kmlwx
Seems like a new part of the cell going up near Great Falls on the Potomac. Keeps wanting to build back to the SW with new development. Seems outflow not killing it yet.

BlizzardNole
Looks like I might get pounded right as I walk up 1st Street to Union Station at 5:00. It's always fun with the "canyon effect" between the buildings when you get a windy t-storm? LOL should I even bother with an umbrella?

eurojosh
Lost power at home - area of river road and beltway. Pepco says 887 customers out of power in that immediate area, 17,000 across MoCo.
mattie g
Holy f***...huge strike right across the street. I was under the carport with my 8-month-old daughter and she almost handled it better than I did. Ran inside immediately.
09-10 analogy
Dark out. All nature is trembling before the wrath of Zeus. But I think that, as usual around here, Zeus is going to keel over from the effort to get a good thunderstorm going, and we'll end up with the wrath of meh. Edit: maybe my reverse jinx worked? lots of cg and heavy rain now.
Mrs.J
Congrats to you all to the East of me. We got fringed by one of those cells in Southern Fred. Co. but that was it. Was picking up my girls from school and it rained for about 5 min. Got back into my neighborhood just across the street and while the front of the neighborhood was wet where my house is was dry. Temp at 78 now still humid.
